How long have you worked at TIDE?
This is my first year and I’m super excited to start teaching the little ones of the school :)
Where did you receive your education/what did you study?
I did Middle School and High School at North Lincoln HS in North Carolina, then I moved back to CR
to study Early Education Science in the University of Costa Rica.
Describe your teaching style:
My teaching style can be described as interactive, supportive and creative. I encourage
my students to have a voice in the classroom, ask questions and participate actively
regardless of their level of confidence.
What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe that each child is unique and learns in different ways. It’s my job as the
kindergarten teacher to provide a creative, engaging, safe and fun environment to my
students to thrive and accomplish goals to their fullest potential.
Why do you like teaching at TIDE?
What I like the most is that we have children and teachers from different parts of the
world so we all can learn about each other’s culture. It makes Tide a perfect place to
have intercultural experiences.
What do you like to do when you are not teaching?
I have a babysitting and Kids Club To-Go business so I like to spend time being
creative and making cool stuff for the kids.I love to be in the Nature too so if I am not
working you will probably find me at the beach, waterfalls or mountains.
