Mariana Castilla is a versatile and enthusiastic Costa Rican teacher. She studied Bilingual Education at ULACIT and Graphic Design at University of Costa Rica. She has also thoroughly studied the foundations of neuro-education and alternative schooling methods such as Reggio Emilia and Montessori. Her Montessori background has taught her the importance of creating a fun and exciting environment for learning, while tuning into every child’s individual needs. She believes education is a collaboration process and children have as much to teach the world as adults have to teach them. Together, they collaborate to orchestrate meaningful learning experiences and fall in love with discovering and exploring the unlimited nature of human creativity. Her classes seek to inspire and empower the children to be the change they want to see in the world. Currently, she is our 1st and 2nd grade and Art Enrichment Program teacher.
