Kendra Farstad will be joining the Tide teaching team as an instructor of Social Studies and Earth Sciences this year. She received her B.A. in Art and Anthropology, followed by an M.A. in Anthropology with a concentration in Mesoamerican Archaeology from the University at Albany. She is very excited to share her passion for learning and exploring through hands-on interdisciplinary activities. Her teaching philosophy is centered on the tenet that humans are innately curious and quest for knowledge. New materials are presented through several lenses, designed to address the individual learning styles of each student.
Kendra is also a certified yoga instructor and working artist; she looks forward to incorporating these skills into the classroom curriculum as well. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, running, and making things.
